The 2024 JuniorGP championship season was a case of what might have been for Guido Pini.
Despite missing five races in the early part of the year due to an injury sustained in pre-season training, the hugely talented 16-year-old still managed to secure second place in the overall JuniorGP rankings (MotoGP for juniors) today behind winner Alvaro Carpe of Spain.
Pini was in typically combative form as he took to the track in Estoril, Portugal - the alternative season finale circuit for the JuniorGP after the original venue, Valencia, was made impassable by horrendous floods at the start of November.
In the two races staged today, the final day of the season, Pini placed first and second, securing his runner-up spot in the 2024 JuniorGP championship.
Pini is sponsored by FASEP 2000, the premium Italian garage equipment manufacturer based in Florence, Pini’s home city. FASEP’s principal UK partner is SharkEye. So a win for Guido is a win for us. A promising future awaits … watch this space.
