SharkEye Wheel Aligners UK Ltd

Britain’s largest manufacturer of laser wheel aligners today announced its sponsorship of the world’s fourth oldest football club.

SharkEye Wheel Aligners UK Ltd has signed a three-season deal with Worksop Town Football Club, aka ‘The Tigers,’ currently sitting third in the Northern Premier League.

Carl Gibson, CEO of SharkEye, who lives in Worksop, said: “Like the wheels on our customers’ vehicles, we believe the success stories of SharkEye and Worksop Town FC will be very much aligned.”

To kick off its relationship with the club, SharkEye has three eye-catching ad boards displaying its logo: one behind each goal and another on the back of the main stand.

Richard Tomlinson, general manager of Worksop Town FC, said: “We’re delighted to have SharkEye on board and look forward enjoying a journey of mutual success.”

In 2025 SharkEye is due to open its new wheel alignment service centre, on Vesuvius Way in Worksop, less than half a mile from the Sandy Lane football ground.

The company’s other UK base is its factory in Hellaby, near Rotherham, 12 miles north of Worksop.

Aligning a vehicle’s wheels minimises rolling resistance. This cuts fuel consumption by 8% and increases tyre life by 25% on average. It also reduces greenhouse gas emissions and microplastic tyre-wear particles washing off roads into waterways and oceans.

Founded in 1861, Worksop claims to be the fourth oldest football club in the world.
